DOST-PAGASA has officially raised its ENSO Alert and Warning System to El Nino Alert.
El Nino Forecast Strength
✅ El Nino start as weak as early as June – July – August 2026
✅ Forecast to strengthen as moderate to Strong El Nino until early 2027
✅ A Very Strong or Super El Nino event is not ruled out
Effects of El Nino
🌧️ Enhanced Habagat bringing more rains over western Philippines
💨 Dry, Dry spell and drought likely during October 2026 – March 2027
🌀 Fewer stronger tropical cyclones
