4th National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2023

The 4th National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2023 was held at 9 o’clock in the morning today, November 9, 2023. The drill was done at Barangay Sabangan, Lingayen, and was participated in by the Barangay Sabangan community and its officials, headed by Barangay Captain Romeo Manuel Jr., and the elementary students and teachers of Sabangan Elementary School, headed by Ms. Maria Theresa Posadas. Aside from the barangay, the Lingayen Airport personnel also joined the sinultaneous drill.
The said event was spearheaded by the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC) of Lingayen, headed by Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil, and in partnership with the Pangasinan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Lingayen, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Lingayen.
The public is encouraged to practice the proper “Duck, Cover and Hold”, to foster a resilient community in preparation for any untoward occurrences of earthquakes.
