Dr. Dexter R. Buted, president of Pangasinan State University serves as the guest speaker in this morning’s flag raising ceremony at the Lingayen Municipal Town Hall.

In his message, Dr. Buted emphasizes the role of education in the progress of a nation. Education, according to him, is not the only way but a major factor towards the top.

He hails Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil for being a good and dignified leader and motivator to the employees. The university president then reiterates that good treatment to the subordinates is very vital since the most important asset of an organization is its people.

Dr. Buted also urges the employees to always display good attitude in treating people coming to their offices asking for assistance. He says that the employees and officials, as public servants, should put the public interest first before theirs. Every employee and official should be committed to his own job in order to give 100% service to the people, he added.

After his speech, Dr. Buted shows that he is not just a mundane president but also a musically-inclined entertainer. That’s why he is known to be “the Singing President.” He then shows his singing prowess be singing with Councilor Teng Tapia, to the delight of the crowd.
