COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE, CONDUCTED IN LINGAYEN BEACH

The Limgas na Pangasinan Committee of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Lingayen, headed by Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil, conducted the coastal clean-up drive yesterday afternoon, March 15, 2025 at the at the Lingayen Beach.

The said event was also in support to the advocacy and call for protecting and loving the environment of Limgas na Pangasinan 2024-Mutya, Ms. Pearline Joy D. Bayog, a native of Lingayen and the former Limgas na Baley Ed Lingayen Kalikasan 2024.

It was actively participated by the Limgas na Pangasinan 2025 candidates, Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, Pangasinan GSO, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of Lingayen, the Local Youth Development Office, the Municipal Information Office, the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Office of the Mayor.

The different youth-serving & youth organizations of Lingayen also joined and supported the activity, namely, Youth Volunteer Facilitators of Lingayen (YVFL), JCI Lingayen Liberation II, Lingayen Shuttler’s Club, Young Environmental Advocates of Lingayen (YEAL), and Pangasinan National High School (Supreme Secondary Learner Government, Barkada Kontra Droga, Youth for Environment & Schools Organization).
In his message, Mayor Bataoil emphasized the importance of coming together in protecting our environment not just for the sake of today’s generation but also for the future of Lingayen and the country. He also added that this kind of activity is not to clean the whole Lingayen Beach at once, but rather a message and a call to everyone to be part of making our environment clean and green.
