It has come to our attention that a false social media card is circulating claiming that tricycles are now banned in the town of Lingayen (“BAWAL PO ANG TRICYCLE SA BAYAN NG LINGAYEN”).
We would like to clarify that this information is strictly FALSE.
The Lingayen Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL JUNMAR C. GONZALES, Chief of Police, has issued NO such announcement. Our local transport regulations remain unchanged, and tricycles continue to be a vital part of our community’s daily commute.
No Official Memo: Neither the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen nor the Lingayen MPS has released this statement.
Misleading Graphics: The circulating card is unofficial and designed to cause confusion and panic among drivers and commuters.
Malicious Intent: Spreading false information disrupts the peace and order of our town.
