FIELD AND STUDY TOUR FOR THE FORMULATION AND UPDATING OF CLUP AND CDP
Central District | Western District | Southern District
June 17–20, 2026
The Municipal Planning Team conducted a Field and Study Tour across the Central, Western, and Southern District barangays of Lingayen as part of the formulation and updating of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP).
The activity involved validating existing information, assessing current development conditions, and gaining a deeper understanding of the resources, facilities, environmental assets, local industries, and livelihood activities within the municipality.
It also provided an opportunity to appreciate the hard work and craftsmanship of local communities, including the production of Lingayen Bagoong and the making of traditional crafts such as Bilao, Buri Blinds, and the preparation of local delicacies like Sundot Kulangot.
Beyond data gathering and site validation, the activity highlighted the importance of community participation and firsthand observation in planning for sustainable and inclusive development. The insights gained from the tour will serve as valuable inputs in shaping plans and policies that are responsive to the needs, opportunities, and aspirations of the people of Lingayen.
