“International Coastal Clean up (ICC) Day”
In celebration of Tourism Month, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen, led by Mayor Josefina V. Castañeda, participated in the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day on September 20, 2025. The event was held along the scenic Lingayen beach front, through the Local Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (LTCAO) and Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).
The ICC Day aimed to raise awareness about the impact of pollution on marine life and ecosystems, collect waste, and promote sustainable practices. By conserving marine resources, the town not only protects the environment but also supports the local tourism industry, which relies heavily on the beauty and health of its coastlines.
The LGU Lingayen’s effort in the ICC Day demonstrates its commitment to preserving the town’s natural beauty and promoting sustainable tourism practices.
The LGU Lingayen would like to extend its gratitude to the following participants who made the event a success:
Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office
Municipal Agriculture Office
Local Youth and Development Office
12th Marine Battalion Reserve
