Yesterday, January 13, 2026, the library proudly hosted an inspiring lecture on Emotional Intelligence titled:”Think Smart, Feel Smart: Understanding Emotional Intelligence,” led by Librarian Catherine R. Talaro, LPT, RL. The session was attended by one (1) BS Criminology Intern from the Philippine College of Criminology from Manila, 23 BS Criminology Interns from the University of Luzon, and 11 Grade 12 Work Immersion students from Pangasinan National High School.

The study of Emotional Intelligence (EI) is essential — especially for future professionals. For BS Criminology Interns, EI strengthens communication, decision-making, empathy, leadership, and the ability to manage stress in high pressure situations. For Work Immersion Students, Emotional Intelligence equips them with vital skills to navigate workplace dynamics, build positive relationships, and prepare for long-term success.

The session was filled with enthusiasm, active participation, and meaningful exchanges of ideas–making it both insightful and joyful for everyone involved.

This meaningful program is made possible through the partnership of the Lingayen Municipal Public Library and the Philippine National Police — Lingayen’s Finest, Lingayen Police Station.
