LETSGO Reaches Out to Flood-Affected Families in Brgy. Lasip
The Lingayen Enterprises and Tourism Stakeholders Governing Organization (LETSGO), through its outreach project “Lingap, Tulong Para sa Pagbangon,” extended assistance to identified beneficiaries in Sitio Baybay, Barangay Lasip, Lingayen, particularly families affected by prolonged and severe flooding in the area on September 18, 2026.
According to the Barangay Council, headed by Punong Barangay Rolando Tuazon, Sitio Baybay is among the areas that have experienced some of the longest and highest flooding in the barangay.
In response, LETSGO distributed relief packs and served hot meals to the identified beneficiaries as a gesture of solidarity and support.
The organization also received additional assistance from Gov. Ramon “Monmon” V. Guico III, who augmented the relief packs and hot meals prepared for the outreach. Any excess relief goods were turned over by LETSGO to the Barangay Council, which will identify and distribute them to other residents in the barangay who are considered most vulnerable and in need of assistance.
LETSGO President Coun. Norman Doroteo expressed his appreciation to everyone who supported the initiative-those who donated, extended assistance, and took time to personally join the outreach activity. He emphasized the value of bayanihan and collective action in helping communities recover from difficult circumstances.
The Local Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (LTCAO) also assisted throughout the activity as part of the Tourism Month Celebration this September, underscoring that tourism goes beyond promoting destinations and local products, it also creates opportunities for stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the community.
The activity likewise highlights the importance of supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs. By choosing locally made products and patronizing local enterprises, we help sustain livelihoods and strengthen a community where businesses, in turn, can give back and extend support when their fellow residents need it most.
