LGU Lingayen Bags 2 Awards from DTI
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen received certificate and a plaque of recognition for ranking 1st Place in the whole of Region I and 9th Place Nationwide among the 1st-2nd Class Municipalities under the Pillar of Government Efficiency. Another for ranking 2nd Place (regionwide) under the Pillar of Infrastructure for the 2023 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Awards.
The awards were given by the Department of Trade and Industry during the “Amianang Luzon sa Rimat Ti Amianan- Pammadayaw ti Siglat ken Laing ti Ilokano” at La Union Convention Center, San Fernando, La Union today, November 23, 2023.
The occasion recognized the top performing provinces, cities and municipalities according to their performance based on their competitiveness categories.
The CMCI Program is an annual ranking which measures the competitiveness of LGUs anchored on the five (5) competitiveness pillars of Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency and Innovation.
The awards were personally received by BPLO Personnel and LYDO Officer Arvin Ungson together with Municipal Information Officer I, John Mark Mangapot.
Lingayen has been a consistent recipient of this award since the administration of Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil, a manifestation of the LGU’s commitment to excellence and good governance. (MIO_JMMangapot/MVR)
