LGU LINGAYEN LAUNCHES “DISIPLINA MUNA” NATIONAL ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN

In its quest for developing good citizenry and better place to live in, the local government unit (LGU) of Lingayen has formally launches the “Disiplina Muna” National Advocacy Campaign during the flag raising ceremony today, July 13, 2020.

This campaign was created by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), which aims to revive and uplift the culture of discipline among the people wherein everyone is participating and knows his role and responsibilities in helping to achieve the real change we have been longing for not only for the municipality of Lingayen but also for the entire nation.

Among those who are present during the launching of the campaign are the Philippine National Police – Pangasinan Police Provincial Office and PNP Lingayen, Municipal Local Government Operations Office (MLGOO), other national agencies and LGU employees.

MLGO Officer Marilyn Dela Cruz says that having self-discipline is crucial in maintaining harmonious and peaceful relationship among the people living in a community.

Although the Provincial Director P/Colonel Redrico A. Maranan missed the event, he sends his short message. Col. Maranan then emphasizes the campaign’s target to instill discipline among the people so that they will be encouraged to support in sustaining peace and order in the country.

In line with this campaign, roads clearing operations in different parts of the country will continue. Aside from that, the campaign covers disaster preparedness and resilience procedures, smoking ban, ease of doing business, liquor ban, clean up drive in tourist spots and the implementation of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC).

Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil urges everyone to support and participate in the campaign. He says that this advocacy will never be successful without the help of the people. Bataoil was also selected by the Provincial DILG to be one of the ambassadors for regional champion in the implementation of the said program. (MIO)
