LINGAYEN AVAILS OF DILG’S MUNICIPAL ORIENTATION ON 2023 SGLG ASSESSMENT
Once again the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen under the leadership of Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil conducted an orientation on 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment through the help of the Provincial Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on May 9, 2023.
Department managers, focal persons, and counterparts from national agencies such as PNP and BFP were present during the orientation to discuss additional modifications made under the 2023 SGLG.
Lingayen already done with its initial preparation and making sure that nothing was overlooked on the following SGLG parameters.
This is an annual assessment organized by the DILG to serve as a motivation ensuring the integrity and good performance from each local government units. Upholding of transparency and accountability, cultivation of proactive actions, and furtherance of both national and international developmental goals.
Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil, also the current League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Pangasinan Chapter president urged other municipalities to take the SGLG seriously and ensure that compliance is underway before the regional assessment.
Lingayen is eyeing for another SGLG award this year, the highest recognition and the most prestigious award given by the DILG to excellent and performing LGUs in the delivery of public service. (MIO)
