Lingayen Celebrates National Heroes’ Day 2024

The local government unit of Lingayen commemorates National Heroes’ Day this August 26, 2024 led by Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil together with the men and women of the Lingayen PNP and BFP Lingayen to give honor to the heroic deeds of those who have fought for our country’s freedom and dignity.

“We do not only celebrate the lives of our heroes in the past but we also we commend each and every Lingayenenses, Filipinos, who sacrifice their lives for the good and interest of others rather than themselves”, the Mayor said.

Mayor Bataoil also introduced Neiljay Matunding from Bukidnon who is now at the capital town, also known as Sikad Pilipinas, an advocate of the Voluntary Initiative Sacrifice Travel Effort for the Passage of Anti Elderly Abuse Act.

Also present in the simple celebration were Vice Mayor Mac Dexter Malicdem, MLGOO Gabriel Cornel and other municipal employees who joined in the wreath laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument to highlight today’s event. (MIO)
