Lingayen Celebrates Tourism Month This September

The local government unit (LGU) of Lingayen celebrates National Tourism Month on this day, 1st day of September, 2023 with the display of local delicacies and the presentation of the new Tourism Slogan.
The event was graced by Pangasinan 1st lady Maan T. Guico and special assistant to the governor Von Mark Mendoza as guest speakers.
Highlight of the event was the Taway-Taway Exhibit or food tasting of Lingayen’s famous delicacies with its main product “Bagoong” (fish paste).
Lingayen Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office also presented the new slogan of the Philippines Tourism “Love the Philippines” and Lingayen Tourism own slogan “Love Lingayen”, featuring its rich culture, heritage and one-town-one-product.
Special presentation from the Lingayen Drum Beaters adds to the delight of the participants and visitors from different places.
Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil thanked all the working force including the local tourism stakeholders like Frankie’s Catering and Star Monica who were generous enough to support the LGU in this endeavor.
Meanwhile, the National Tourism Week is held every last week of September. Its schedule is set to coincide with the celebration of the World Tourism Day which is observed every September 27 every year. (MIO)
