LINGAYEN ESTABLISHES MUNICIPAL COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH COUNCIL (MCRC)

The municipality of Lingayen under the stewardship of Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil pushes to establish its Municipal Collaborative Research Council (MCRC), as it recognizes the profound impact of collaborative research towards community development and as required in its term-based Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA).
The council conducted a consultative meeting today, August 29, 2023 with representatives from the different departments from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and representatives from various academe and sectors.
The MCRC aims to promote informed decision-making, enhanced sustainable development, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations through research.
Various matters were discussed during the meeting including the composition of the council, functions and responsibilities of its members, possible research agenda and strategic direction.
The council will formalize its establishment through a Municipal Executive Order to be signed by the local chief executive and endorsement from the Sangguniang Bayan of Lingayen. (MIO)
