LINGAYEN INAUGURATES NEW MSWD BUILDING
The inauguration of the permanent office for Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) happened this Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Brgy. Poblacion, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Throughout the years, the MSWD of the municipality of Lingayen has had no permanent office to dwell. MSWD Officer Lorenza Decena recalls their journey in her welcome remarks during the program.
Decena said, it’s only now during the administration of Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil that they were given a permanent, spacious and comfortable place where they can entertain their clients who are in need of various social services.
MSWD was prioritized on the list of infra projects under the first term of the administration of Mayor Bataoil. “Mahalaga na ang departamentong tulad ninyo, na frontline office ay magkaroon ng isang kompartableng lugar hindi lamang para sa mga empleyado kundi maging sa ating mga kababayan na humihingi ng iba’t ibang tulong pinansyal”, Bataoil said.
“Ito ay patunay na hindi lamang infrastructures ang ating pinagtutuunan ng pansin. Maging ang ating bagong Rural Health Units ay para sa mas maayos na pagbibigay serbisyo medikal para pakinabangan ng taumbayan”, he added.
During the inauguration ceremony, representative of DSWD Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan, Vice Mayor Judy De Leon Vargas-Quiocho and other Sangguniang Bayan members, attended to render their messages while LGU department heads, various sectors and employees were also present in the program and joined the ribbon cutting.
