Lingayen LCAC Convenes to Finalize FY 2027 Cultural Plan

The Lingayen Local Culture and Arts Council (LCAC) convened today, August 26, 2026, to discuss, review, and approve the Municipality’s Annual Cultural Plan for Fiscal Year 2027.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Angelie A. Ediong, Sangguniang Bayan Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Arts and Culture and LCAC Vice-Chairperson, on behalf of Mayor Josefina V. Castañeda, LCAC Chairperson.

The activity is part of the Municipality’s preparation for the Annual Investment Program (AIP) for FY 2027.

The Council reviewed and identified priority programs, projects, and activities aimed at promoting, preserving, and developing Lingayen’s arts, culture, and heritage.

Among the agenda items were the review of existing and proposed cultural programs, identification of priority activities for 2027, and discussion of initiatives involving cultural heritage preservation, local arts development, tourism, and community participation.

The Council is composed of representatives from various sectors and stakeholders involved in tourism, arts, culture, heritage, education, and related fields including SB Committee Chair on Tourism, Coun. Norman C. Doroteo, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive approach to cultural planning.

The Local Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (LTCAO) actively participated in the meeting and served as the Secretariat of the LCAC, providing technical and administrative support in the preparation, documentation, consolidation, and coordination of the Council’s proposed programs and activities.

The approved Annual Cultural Plan will serve as the Municipality’s guide in implementing its culture and arts initiatives and in integrating priority programs and projects into the FY 2027 Annual Investment Program. (MVR)
