MLNB VOWS CONTINUOUS SUPPORT TO EDUCATION

Underscoring that the key projects of his administration are all geared at ensuring a better future for the younger generation, Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil (MLNB) noted that the education sector remains one of his priorities.

We make sure that the Special Education Fund (SEF) allocated for this sector is really utilized for the needs of different schools in the municipality, said Bataoil as he graced the Induction Ceremony of the new set of Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) officials of Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades (PSAT) on November 19, 2021.

The Mayor, serving as inducting officer, also recognized the insufficiency of local government fund to finance all the programs and projects of the Municipal Government, including the programs on education. Nonetheless, he said, that to augment this inadequacy, he has been making use of his connections with different national government agencies.

He then added, “We should maintain the policy of transparency and accountability to ensure that every penny goes directly to where it should go.”

Further, the local chief executive, citing the declining number of coronavirus disease (COVID) active cases, expressed optimism with respect to the resumption of face-to-face classes in the near future.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rosario C. Ferrer, PSAT Principal, emphasized the significance of belongingness and a sense of ownership as she urged the parents, teachers, and students to further nurture and love their school.

This was reechoed by Bataoil, and even reminded parents and teachers to make sure that their children and students always feel loved and secured.
