PANGASINAN PROVINCIAL MUSEUM: ADDITIONAL ATTRACTION IN LINGAYEN

League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Pangasinan Chapter President and Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil lauds the provincial government of Pangasinan headed by Governor Ramon V. Guico III for the successful launching of the first provincial museum located at the historic Casa Real just beside the Lingayen Municipal Hall.
The inauguration program also includes unveiling of the museum marker and ribbon cutting ceremony followed by the museum tour by the visitors.
The provincial museum known as BANAAN which means “tagpuan” or meeting together, will definitely add to the beauty, history and heritage of the province especially in the municipality of Lingayen.
It is composed of eleven (11) galleries with various art works and artifacts showcasing the rich culture of the province and its people in different eras as explained by very knowledgeable tour guides.
BANAAN was formally inaugurated on September 8, 2023 with National Historical Commission of the Philippines, Chairman Emmanuel Franco Calairo as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The event was also attended by various personalities not only in the province but also in the region including DOT Regional Director Joseph Francisco Ortega, the provincial officials, district congressmen, municipal and city mayors and council members, tourism officers and other LGU representatives, cultural workers and historians.
The museum will be open to public on September 11, entrance will be free for the rest of the month in observance of Tourism Month and the Philippine Creative Industry Month. (Please visit https://seepangasinan.com/
