PTOA Batch 1 Conducts Benchmarking Activity in El Nido, Palawan
The Pangasinan Tourism Officers Association (PTOA) – Batch 1 successfully conducted a benchmarking activity in the Municipality of El Nido, Palawan, one of the country’s premier tourism destinations.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Municipal Tourism Office and Municipal Administrator Ms. Christine Nicole Lim-Gabarra, who graciously shared valuable insights on El Nido’s tourism management, sustainable tourism initiatives, destination governance, and community participation. Through an engaging exchange of experiences and best practices, the hosts highlighted the strategies that have made El Nido a globally recognized island destination.
The benchmarking activity provided PTOA members including Lingayen with meaningful learning opportunities on destination management, stakeholder collaboration, environmental stewardship, and sustainable tourism development.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality of the El Nido LGU and the invaluable knowledge shared, which will serve as inspiration in strengthening tourism programs and initiatives across the Province of Pangasinan.
The activity reaffirmed PTOA’s commitment through the support of Gov. Ramon V. Guico III to continuous learning, collaboration, and the adoption of innovative and sustainable tourism practices for the development of Pangasinan’s tourism industry. (MVR)
