Public Financial Management Competency Program (PFMCP)

Attending the Public Financial Management Competency Program (PFMCP) for Local Government Units – Phase II held at The Monarch Hotel, Calasiao, Pangasinan last October 15–17, 2025.
It was a privilege to take part in this insightful capacity-building program organized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), led by Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, together with Undersecretaries Wilford Will L. Wong and Margaux Marie V. Salcedo.
The discussions on transparency, accountability, and good governance serve as valuable reminders of our shared responsibility to ensure that every public fund is managed wisely and used effectively to uplift the lives of our people.
Programs like the PFMCP strengthen our local leaders’ capability to implement sound financial management practices — allowing us to deliver quality services, promote inclusive development, and build stronger trust between the government and our constituents.
