Tree Planting Activity

August 22, 2025 – In celebration of “Linggo ng Kabataan 2025” and in support of the Province-wide Green Canopy Project of Governor Ramon V. Guico III, the Municipality of Lingayen successfully conducted a tree planting activity that brought together youth leaders, barangay officials, and community volunteers.
The activity highlighted the vital role of the youth in advancing environmental stewardship and climate resilience, as participants planted native and fruit-bearing trees in identified sites across the municipality. By engaging young people, the project not only promotes sustainability but also nurtures a new generation of eco-conscious leaders.
The activity were participated by the the Sangguniang Kabataan of Lingayen headed by Hon. Carissa Joyce Tuazon and facilitated by John Mark Mangapot in coordination with the Provincial Government of Pangasinan through the Provincial Social and Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) and in participation of the LGU Lingayen headed by our supportive Municipal Mayor, Hon. Josefina “Iday” V. Castaneda with the Local Disaster Risk Reduction ang Management Office (LDRRMO), Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Barangay Councils of Aliwekwek & Wawa headed by Punong Barangays Edwin C. Dela Cruz & Josephus T. Ramos respectively, SK Officers & members, other volunteers and AKRHO Lingayen President & Municipal Councilor Hon. Jonathan T. Ramos.
This joint undertaking reflects the municipality’s and the province’s shared commitment to a greener, healthier, and more resilient Pangasinan—anchored on youth participation and collective action for the environment.
